A free, online course dedicated to the Current Issues of Literature and Folklore will be launched within the framework of professional training programs implemented by Gavar State University. We invite the academic staff of the Faculty of Philology, students, teachers of Literature, people interested in philology and folklore to participate in the training course. The course is designed for University academic staff, teachers, students, high school students, and those interested in literature and folklore in general, who want to get information about the historical developments as well as the separate realities.
At the end of the course The Participants - will know about the Armenian and foreign literature, the peculiarities of the Armenian folklore, current issues, literary directions, separate phenomena and researches.
- will be able to present and evaluate the peculiarities of literary development, distinguish literary directions, understand the differences between literary and folklore ways of creating the heroes, analyze the works of a writer.
- will get the skills to use the knowledge gained during the course.

Armenian folklore according to the assessment of philological mind.
The history of the study of Armenian folklore will be presented, the works done by the Armenian linguists will be analyzed and evaluated, whereupon only brief information is given in the school books. The stages of the development of Armenian philology, the folklore-collecting works and their studies will be mentioned.
