THE ISSUES OF DIGITALIZATION OF ARMENIAN UNIVERSITIES - SUBJECT OF DISCUSSION

At the initiative of "Erasmus+" national office in Armenia, a workshop was held at Yerevan State University: "From Digitalization Challenges to Actions." European experience, institutional solutions and road map". Digital systems and services operating at Yerevan State University, recorded achievements, existing problems and priorities for further development were presented. On the example of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the European experience and approaches of digital transformation of higher education were presented, referring to the integration and interaction of university information systems, data management, common digital services, management processes with the support of artificial intelligence tools. The participants discussed the systems operating in RA universities, issues related to data flow management and administrative processes, addressing information security, student learning process management, accountability and a number of other related issues. In the final part of the event, the participants outlined the main priorities for the digital transformation of Armenia's higher educational institutions, highlighting the development of the road map. Information technology department specialist Karen Sirakanyan from Gavar State University participated in the workshop.
